We originally asked:
THE QUESTION: Who was elected Sophomore Class President in 1985 and what was so unusual about this particular winner?
And we made this a Double Bonus Question, with the first person to get both parts of the question correct receiving two entries into the Grand Prize Drawing. Unfortunately, no one got the question right. Even more unfortunate was the fact that no one entered by the Friday afternoon deadline.
So we modified the question, took out the second part, decided to award entries to the first two correct answers, and extended the deadline for entry to Sunday afternoon, and so we asked:
THE QUESTION: Who was elected Sophomore Class President in 1985?
This election was particularly unusual because the person who won the election was a new student at Model that year.
We also casually mentioned that "at the very least, we thought that the Sophomore Class President herself would have entered, as she has entered these contests on previous occasions" which was our way of supplying yet another hint for what we thought would be a fairly easy question. We have come to the conclusion that this is not necessarily the case.
So here are the clues: The Sophomore Class President was a new student and was female. Which female member of the Class of 1987 came in her Sophomore year? That was the key thing to try and remember. Interestingly, there was only ONE female member of the class who started at Model in the fall of 1984.
And the answer:

The correct answer: Candice McEnroe
We received four entries after the extended deadline. Two people submitted the correct answer; one of these was our esteemed Sophomore Class President herself (now where were you earlier in the week?!). The two people who submitted incorrect answers both submitted the same answer: "Sarah Warner." Sarah came to Model in her Freshman year, which was actually already covered in Trivia Contest Week Five.

(although, technically, Candice, your entry was for "Candice McEnroe Fletcher" and that wasn't actually the name of the Sophomore Class President, but we'll let it slide)
