RESULTS FOR WEEK 7.5: April 17, 2007

We asked:

THE QUESTION: What was the entreé served at the Junior/Senior Banquet of April 18, 1987?

Choose one of the following:
Roast Beef
Hamburger Steak
Fried Chicken
Shrimp
Grilled Fish
Turkey and Dressing
or McDonald's Happy Meals

And the answer:

The correct answer: SHRIMP

Specifically, Fried Shrimp, which we recall were overbreaded and pretty mediocre.

FYI, Roast Beef was the entreé served at the Junior/Senior Banquet in 1986.

All of the other selections we just made up (although following in the tradition of Great Meals Catered by EKU Food Service, Fried Chicken was served at the banquet hosted by the MHS Band in the fall of 1986 when the band from Jefferson High School in Monroe, Michigan came to visit).

We received five entries to this special weekend contest, and no one got the answer. Interestingly, three entrants answered Roast Beef and two entrants answered Grilled Fish, so there must have been similar thought processes at work ... or just completely wild guesses.

We now resume our regularly scheduled trivia contst.
