We asked:
Seven members of the Model High School Class of 1987 did not walk across the stage at Brock Auditorium on the evening of Tuesday, May 19, 1987 ... because these seven people had actually graduated five days earlier, on May 14, 1987!
THE QUESTION: Why did these seven students graduate separately from the rest of the Class of 1987 on May 14th, and who were these seven people?
And the answer:
The correct answer is: BECAUSE THEY WERE AT THE MOCK TRIAL COMPETITION
We received six entries for this contest, and all of them got the first part of the question right. Only one entrant actually got all seven team members correct and this just happened to be the first entry.

A massive coincidence, considering that Jill was one of those seven who were on that Mock Trial team. Oh look, here is the photographic evidence of Jill receiving her diploma, taken from the May 22, 1987 edition of The Observer:
Adds Jill, "Our early graduation had no music, and I really missed hearing Pomp and Circumstance."
Congratulations, Jill, your name will be entered into the random drawing that will be held at the end of this competition for the Grand Prize.
