ACTIVE HIDDEN CONTESTS:
Hidden Contest #3

Hidden Contest #3 was launched on April 8, 2007. The thing about this particular contest is that we never told anyone about it, and when we announced Hidden Contest #4, there was some question as to "where's #3?" Part of the challenge of Hidden Contest #3 was that, since we never told anyone about it, you had to figure out that it existed, and then you had to figure out where it was.

So now we are telling you that it exists. And when it was launched. And that is your clue as to where it is. Oh yes, and the prize itself is also a big clue: A rare, previously unreleased CD single of the song "It's Easter, Isn't It?" which features vocal appearances by seven members of the MHS Class of 1987 as well as a bunch of other Model High School students.

Those are some pretty big hints; we don't want to hear about how we never give you enough clues. So start looking! Deadline for this particular contest is July 31, 2007. Send your response to mhs87@jlk512.com with the subject header of "Hidden Contest #3" with the answer, along with your name and email address.

Hidden Contest #7

Hidden Contest #7 was launched on May 10, 2007.

The unique thing about this particular contest is that it is not hidden on this website, or, for that matter, on any website.

We have hidden this contest somewhere in Model Laboratory School, Richmond, Kentucky.

Peggy knows where it is. But if you were to email Peggy and ask her about it, she won't know what you are talking about, so don't email her. And that's your clue.

If you find it, follow the directions on it, and email us at mhs87@jlk512.com with the subject header of "Hidden Contest #7", along with your name and email address. Alternatively, if you happen to see Jimmy Kwak at any point in time before the deadline, give it to him to redeem your prize. The deadline is July 28, 2007.

Oh yeah, the prize: How about this fine MHS Class of 1987 Mouse Pad? Perfect for using on your home computer while you search through our website for more hidden contests! This can be yours if you are the winner of this contest!

HINTS FOR FINDING THESE HIDDEN CONTESTS

1. Unlike Easter Eggs, Hidden Contests are almost always in plain sight, so don't look for hidden links or secret things to click on.
2. There is always at least one clue in the description of the contest. Clues are not necessarily meant to be taken literally. There will often be other words in the description which are clues as well.
3. The prize itself is oftentimes a clue as to the location of the prize, even if we don't explicitly state that it is.
4. Dates that a contest launches often correspond to something else that was updated on the site, and this often leads to where the contest is hidden.
6. Look at completed Hidden Contests and see where and how we hid those, and the clues that we gave in the description. We aren't really that clever, and if you can figure out how we think (it's not that hard), you might have an idea about what we are doing (and if you do figure out what we are doing, please let us know, as we are still trying to figure that out).
7. Don't always trust everything that we say.

Hidden Contest #5

Hidden Contest #5 was launched on July 5, 2007. Five of the seven hints listed in the above box will aid you in finding this one.

If you find it, follow the directions on it, and email us your entry to mhs87@jlk512.com with the subject header of "Hidden Contest #5", along with your name and email address.

The prize? Your choice from the following five items:

  • An MHS Class of 1987 Mouse Pad (pictured above)
  • A Jay Roberts Mouse Pad (from Hidden Contest #2)
  • A Reproduction of the May 22, 1987 edition of The Observer
  • A rare, Autographed Jay Roberts Photo
  • A collection of Reproduced Photographs by JLK from Field Day 1980 (fifth grade)

Deadline for this contest is August 9, 2007
