Results for Hidden Contest #1

Our first Hidden Contest, which launched on March 1, 2007, the same day as the rest of this site, was hidden mostly in plain sight. If you were to go to the Photos section starting on March 1st (it has changed since then), you would see a random selection of ten photos. If you scrolled all the way down to the bottom of the screen, you will note the slightly larger black space. You might also notice that your pointer will turn into a text cursor when passed over certain areas of the black space. If you were to click and drag in that area, you would be able to highlight the "Inviso-Text" (text the same color as the background), which would read:

Hey, you've found the HIDDEN CONTEST! To enter, simply correctly identity who or what is in FIVE (5) out of the ten images presented above. The first person to submit a correct entry to mhs87@jlk512.com will win a prize of some sort; what exactly it will be we haven't figured out yet, but it'll be worth the trouble! When entering, use subject line "Hidden Contest 1". No purchase necessary. Offer void where prohibited by law.

The first, and only, correct entry came to us on March 6, 2007, from Denny French, who correctly identified 5.5 out of 10 of the images (we gave him half credit on one of them). For his diligence, Denny wins a random selection of comic books published by this contest's sponsor, Moist Doorknob Comics.
