| New additions to the Class of 1987: Danny Britt Amy Harnack Dan Shuntich Jill Tracy Gone But Not Forgotten: | By second grade, 28 out of 59, or 47.4% of the Class of 1987, was in place. There were some changes taking place: Jon Allen would leave for the next three years, and we were joined by four new classmates, including Dan Shuntich, whose first day of school was yearbook photo day.
For the first time ever, our class was combined with the third grade class. While we had been divided into two groups for first grade, this was the first time that we were mixed together with the OLDER KIDS! The BIG kids! Fortunately, most of us survived in order to make it to third grade, when we would be the Big Kids.
"Jill came in the 2nd grade, and we all thought she was an indian!" - Amy Maupin, The Observer, May 22, 1987
