Part Four

As the noontime hour approached, the band members, guests and other assorted people were herded into the Model Lab School library for the first round of "goodies;" in this case, lunch, where the reconnecting continued.

Library Display
A display table was placed in the library containing an assortment of artifacts and treasures from Mr. Stephens' tenure as Band Director.

Al and his stuff Al and his stuff
Mr. Stephens realizes where all of his stuff has been for the past few weeks.

Yearbooks
Yearbooks from almost every year of Mr. Stephens' 24 years at Model Lab were prominently on display, opened up to the band page.

Lunch Time
It is interesting to note that the old groups that we used to have in the grill during lunch back in high school more or less re-formed years later.

Hey Look, It's Ron Zarzycki!
Hey look, behind Mr. Stephens, it's Ron Zarzycki, running around and taking all those nice group photos as well as all those interstitial shots of the school that all of our other "photographers" forgot to capture. Thanks again for the fine work, Mr. Zarzycki!
Carla and pal

Al
Mr. Stephens! Weren't you wearing a white shirt when you came in? Did you swipe it off of the display table? And hey, for that matter, don't you know that it's a faux pas to show up wearing the same outfit as someone else? (For the record, Mrs. Stephens went back to the house to retrieve the shirt, which is not the original on the display table but rather the "commemorative 2006 reissue" of the award-winning 1986-87 MHS Band T-shirt.)
Don't hate cool people
It should be noted that Mr. Stephens chose to sit at the table with all of the cool people.

Ah, the pain and the joy of parenting, as exemplified by our very own Keith Hartman

Goodies in the Library

Goodies in the Library

At about 12:30pm, the call came: "Rinse out your mouths, and head back to the band room!" If you got 'em, get the instruments out ...
