Susan: "Because this is a surprise for him and he didn't know the schedule, we had to make a schedule ... this is the gathering and reconnecting time ..." And that's what happened for the next couple of hours, until noon, in and around the Band Room.

Jimmy Kwak gives a sneak preview of the d.c. AL fine Tribute Book to a select audience,
as he considers that he should have stood a little closer to the razor.
One of the many activities scattered throughout the Band Room challenged the band members to draw Mr. Stephens before or after retirement on the chalkboard. Jamie Farrar and Daniel Marifjeren, pictured here, accepted that challenge, as well as a handful of others. Click on the above photo to see their artistic efforts.

 Another activity designed by Susan involved the filling out of a questionnaire sheet, requesting information about favorite memories and other band-related recollections. Oddly enough, those questionnaires were collected but never brought back up later on. In reality, this was a stunt by FADS (although it was all Susan's idea) to harvest information for the next edition of the tribute book. NOW YOU KNOW!
