June 3, 2006. The Stephens' plan for that Saturday, as far as Mr. Allan D. Stephens knew, was to spend the day at Renfro Valley. However, Susan had "accidentally" left her camera behind at The Band Room, so before they were to venture down southbound I-75, they had to swing by the school so she could get the camera. And she couldn't just take the key and go in and get it herself; Mr. Stephens had to come up and unlock the door himself. And so, somewhat reluctantly, Mr. Stephens trudged back into the school, followed by Susan, Ron and Dee Zarzycki, K.C. Dawson and Kate Klaber. Unlocking the door ...
